I bought these for motorcycle riding and the sole has good grip on the ground when sitting on the motorcycle. The heel is over 2” high, and the advantage (for riding) is that the heel helps your feet reach the ground when you have a high motorcycle seat. And of course, they look nice for general street wear. The top rim of the boots are a tad wider than most knee high boots which allows you to fit the boots easily over a pair of jeans. I guess I’d rather they were a bit more conforming to the leg at the top, but I still like the boots regardless. It’s hard to find higher heeled boots that are comfortable, but these feel quite good. I liked them enough that I splurged and ordered a second pair from Amazon.NOTE: Some of the boots are suede, while others are full grain leather. So look closely at the photos to see which is which. The suede is a much thinner leather.
